THE MATRIX: CHILDREN, MARRIAGE, FAMILY & AMERICAN CULTURE
Most parents will admit, children do not come with any type of instruction manual. In 2006, Chief Justice Leah Ward Sears (Retired) appointed Daniel to the Georgia Supreme Court Commission on Children, Marriage and Family Law to assist in developing a new approach to relieve Georgia's overburdened court system. The commission was established to study the legal consequences associated with the growing fragmentation of Georgia families, and to make recommendations for addressing their root causes. Daniel takes a very unique approach towards addressing:
- the growing societal trend of disassociating children from marriage when considering family
- the fatherless generation and the crisis in our communities of color
- why failing to effectively communicate as a family may lead to planned lifelong failure
His presentations are titled: "
The Marriage Gap: A Case For Strengthening Marriage in the 21st Century" and
“The Lost Art of Communication: The Internet, Social Media, and The Dinner Table”.
CHILDREN & S.M.O.G. (SOCIAL MEDIA, OBESITY, & VIDEO GAMES)

Daniel covers a challenging matter that today’s children and families face in everyday life; television, video games, the Internet, and why children don’t play outside as much as they used to. He has served as a board member and advisor to several organizations and churches which focus on education, youth in crisis, children’s health, advocacy, family violence, and parenting; he will offer advice and inspiration to educators, families, and organizations.
